IT Manager / IT Support Manager – Permanent role

Location: Cannock, Staffordshire

Salary: c36-44k basic + benefits

c40 hours per week

Our client is looking for an experienced IT Manager / IT Support Manager to support, train and assist circa 100 users, look after the IT security, infrastructure and future strategy.

To manage and maintain all IT aspects of the business as directed including hardware, software, data, security, reporting and contractors utilising all tools available.  To support in the specification of business requirements for, and the subsequent management of key projects and KPI reports as requested.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with external support providers and delegating end user support
  • Provide remote support to users
  • Undertake regular site visits to all offices to check and maintain systems
  • Management of IT budget, expenditure & planning
  • Management of IT supplier contracts and relationships
  • Oversee day to day operations of the domain, server hardware and systems
  • Maintain and develop Dynamics AX ERP environment
  • Management of assets, tracking and lifecycle replacement of all IT related hardware
  • Structured cabling management
  • Maintain network security systems
  • Educate users on best practice for cyber security
  • Design and build of reports for departments as required
  • Housekeeping of SQL database
  • Development of software and add-on’s
  • Provide staff training as needed
  • Document processes and exchange these with departments and support providers in accordance with ISO requirements
  • Provide out of hours IT support to the business in emergencies

Essential Skills & Experience Required – IT Manager role

• The successful candidate must have a proven IT support management / IT Manager background and be comfortable and experienced managing all of the IT and IT support for circa 100 users.

• Experience in providing IT support – network / server / remote support to users.

• You must hold some relevant formal IT qualifications to support your experience.

• Demonstrable IT security management experience – including cyber security, GDPR etc.

• Experienced with carrying out hardware / software updates.

• Knowledge of how IT infrastructure works.

• The role is Staffordshire based but with occasional trips to two other offices in the UK.

Package and Conditions:-

Salary: c36-44k basic + benefits

c40 hours per week

24 days holiday in year 1 and 26 in year 2.

Pension 5% employee contribution and 3% employer.

There is no bonus scheme applicable to this role.

Flexibility with some weekend working required.

Office based in Staffordshire with occasional trips to two other UK sites.
